If a 1/2 hour my baby is going to be home from his last day of 1st grade. Well, I guess he’s not much of a baby anymore! Now I’m not one to be like, “awww my little boy is growing up so fast, tear tear,” but really, I can’t believe how big he is and how much he’s grown. People are definitely right when they say kids grow up in the blink of an eye. The only problem now is he is going to be home all day for the next 2 and a half months, and with my mom, his father, and I all having pretty booked work schedules (that always seem to conflict) we’re going to have to work extra hard to make sure someone is able to watch him at all times. Luckily his aunt and his other grandmother have offered to help out a bit!

Speaking of which, we’re going swimming at his grandmother’s house as soon as he gets home. It has to be almost 90 degrees out right now, and me and the heat just don’t get along. We do have a pool at my house, but I don’t think we’re going to open it this year. We’ve been opening it for the past several years, but I swear it’s only used a handful of times, so the work that needs to be put into it’s up-keep doesn’t seem worth it. Not only that, it’s not a heated pool, and even though the purpose of it is to cool off, no one wants to swim in 50 degree water no matter how hot it is outside. The hose works just as well if you want to shock your body with some ice water for a few seconds, hahaha!
